America Week day 4

Today was kind of a slow/low energy day, as we had to wait for our apartment to get inspected before our day could really begin.

Ms. Zykea from our doctors office had baked us a lovely loaf of banana bread as a going away present! I wish I had taken pictures of it, but I fried up some slices in butter for a breakfast this morning, though Nolan preferred his untoasted. A nice day of Switch games and T.V. cuddles!

Since we have a big day planned for tomorrow, I wanted to keep today simple.

Someone had led me onto a warehouse store for suitcases, so we went there to check out the prices. Some good brands, but the pricing is about the same as a Marshalls or TJMaxx, so we skipped it for now. Plenty of these large Luigis though!

I decided to try my luck one more time at Goodwill, and finally scored a modestly sized suitcase for the pretty price of $15.  Is eight suitcases enough to fly our lives to another continent? Although, I am super grateful to not have to lug my husband's massive suitcase to China. I'll let him bring it next time he flies home.

Since we were at Goodwill, I was convinced to take the boys into Replay Toys (highly recommend the shop, but I suggest going on sale days if youre searching for a specific item) and we were able to pick up some extra trinkets to entertain us on the flight.

Taking advantage of our final Whopper Wednesday in America, we hung out at Burger King for over an hour, and even got ice cream! ( I took the downtime from packing-mania to read a book that I had been looking forward to for a while.)

After some downtime at home (and the rest of the banana bread), we headed to karate, and on the way there saw a crazy cloud!

Doesn't it look like a shark?

Nolan earned his last stripe for promotion tonight! Which means both are moving up belts on Tuesday! It will be a triumphant end for our time here in America. ☺

When we got home, we got to spend some time with our neighbor friends while waiting for dinner.
I think they had a pretty good day ☺
