America week day 2 and 3

Falling behind a little bit on posting (too much suitcase Tetris!)

Monday was the day that we got to go to one of our favorite Pennsylvania places, Kids Castle!

Quick breakfast at wawa, and we're off!

The boys had a great time climbing all over the play area, and we pretended to fight the sea monster(me).

We're working on our poses.

Going for a majestic sideeye?

Goofy smiles in the castle.

Some slide action.

I have been hunting for another suitcase, so we stopped at Good Stuff Thrift to try and find one. Nothing that was compelling, but maybe next time! We found some books printed in (I think) traditional chinese characters, but I behaved and left it for someone else to find.

Afterwards, we had one more gift card  to 5below from Mr. J. so I indulged and we picked up some pretty neat key chains. ♥

Tuesday we spent the morning at the Mercer Museum!

A whaling boat. The boys were surprised to find out that we used whale fat as fuel in the 18th and 19th centuries

Metal negatives for some of the more elaborate tiles from the Moravian Tileworks.

We had fun looking at all the colonial artifacts!

They had a fun activity where you can stamp a card with animals located throughout the museum- Oliver was determined to find them all!

We found em all!

After the museum, we went to Eagle Diner, another local favorite. I forgot to warn Nolan about their pancake blend (its got a bit of a tang, which deterred him from eating it) but Ollie and I enjoyed eating our brunch plates.

Had karate in the afternoon, and Oliver completed all tests to get his next belt! Nolan needs one more stripe.

We finished out the day with trying the burgers from wawa- kids said they were a hit!
