3Q (Thank you)- a China blog

 May 10th came way faster than I was expecting! We loaded up the car with all of our bags and headed off to New York!  The boys loved jamming out in the car! It was pretty cramped with all our stuff, so it was kinda hard to take photos, but my sister snapped this cute one~! After two long hours, we parked!  its hard to get a good photo Once we actually made it to new york, we headed to our destination: the flagship Nintendo store! we may not look like it, but we're super excited to see bowser! there it is! We were happy to see mario, too! After we hit up Nintendo, we got to eat some lunch and do a little sight-seeing! five guys! times square! (we end up losing that hat) After our little jaunt around NY, it was time to head to the airport. I sacrificed my patience by volunteering to drive into JFK airport. One of the reasons that I decided to stay the "extra" week in America was to give Nolan and Oliver the opportunity to test for their orange and purple belts in Karate! We had been going to Action Karate in North Wales for about a year, and we loved our time there! Mr. Nichols and Mrs, Felicia, as well as all of our other wonderful instructors, were so kind and patient. I highly recommend their dojo if you're still in the area! Monday we had our final testing day, and I was able to snap a few photos of the kids: makin a lil face Nolan was so focused! When Tuesday finally came around, I was super emotional. I'm so proud of them! Their new belts have come with us to China and are on display in their room!  Hey! quick note- this past week has been a flurry of activity, so sorry for getting these out late! While we're in China, we're looking at a weekly update, but leave room for flexibility.  ty - k  Thursday the 4th was our beach day! It wasn't the sunniest of days, but luckily the precipitation was kept to a sprinkle and we managed to have a great time.  We visited Port Monmouth, and had some ice cream at Polar Bear ice cream shop. We highly recommend if youre ever in the area! we forgot to take pictures, i googled this Friday was another packing day for me during the day, but the boys spent the evening with their grandma and her new puppy, Scruffy! I got to spend some time with friends! Isn't he stinkin cute? Saturday we enjoyed some time at the Peddler's Village strawberry festival! We painted pots and colored on the mural!
